the sun
is infinite                          but a woman’s body

how else to explain all of these holes

vanishing



evening drives up and down            Riverside
Parkway               you asked me what
to do with the burning                coals in your mouth                            if I were
Persephone                                            I would tell you to
wait for them                                                   to bloom
